The print depicts a boy lying on the sand at the beach with a guitar floating in the art. This specific technique Dus used illustrating torn edges and twine textures was a style he developed in the late 1970s and into the early 1980s.

Condition: Excellent condition with two small sheer yellow spot sections on the base and couple of very fine pin-sized spot black splots on right which can be covered when framing.
About the Artist - Laszlo Dus
László Dús is a Hungarian-American painter and printmaker, born July 14, 1941 in Zalaegerszeg, Hungary. He studied at the Fine Art High School in Budapest from 1956–1960, then at the Academy of Fine Arts under Aurel Bernath from 1962–1967. He went on to direct the Town Art Program in Zalaegerszeg and founded the Egervár Artists' Colony before emigrating to the United States in 1974.
Before leaving Hungary, Dús was already regarded as a rising talent behind the Iron Curtain, having exhibited in France, Italy, Yugoslavia, Austria, Czechoslovakia, and Holland. He's best known for nonobjective, Modernist prints, and several of his works are held in the permanent collection of the U.S. National Gallery of Art, as well as the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the Renwick Gallery. Dealer listings also cite pieces in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Chicago Art Institute, and the Detroit Institute of Arts, though I'd treat those claims with some caution since they come from sales listings rather than the museums themselves.
Stylistically, his work often features blocky, geometric color-field compositions, sometimes with "torn"-edged shapes, and he's worked across painting, printmaking, and mixed-media collage. Gallerist Albert Scaglione of Park West Gallery, also known for promoting Picasso and Renoir prints, was a major champion of his work, and Dús was associated with Park West Galleries from roughly 1977 to 1992.
