About the Artist - Theo Tobiasse
Theo Tobiasse was a French painter, endeavor, illustrator and sculptor (1927-2012). He was born in Palestine but at an early age moved to Paris. His family were caught in World War II where they narrowly escaped the round up of Jewish people by the nazis and his family were forced to hide in an apartment for two years. After the war he worked in Graphic Design and eventually moved to Nice. Here he discovered painting and won many young artist awards and his career quickly took sail.
